Opening night was packed with action. Games were held at 4 locations with live DJ, buzzer beaters, and plenty of action. Standings updated. More games on Sunday. Silk was victorious over MD23 in the 13U and 14U divisions. 5th grade Thrill played up against a tough 6th grade Columbia Terps team. Hats off to Thrill but the Terps were just too big last night.
Chosen Warriors cruised to victory over a smaller but skilled Maryland Stealth team. Team Rumble secured victory in the 12U against Topp Tier but fell short in the 13U against Topp Tier. 14U Columbia Warriors went to battle in a back-to-back victory over both Maryland Sting teams. 13U Columbia Warriors fell short to Showtime in a close nail biter.
In the Middle School Girls Division, Maryland Sting and Mount ST Mary’s teams both dominated the night and will be a force to reckon with. Columbia Warriors girls had a bye but will surely have a statement to make as well in the MSG division.
